HOW TO GET THERE: Direct road transfer from Manila Airport or Hotel (approx 2.5 – 3 hours).
WHEN TO GO: All year round diving destination with November to June being ideal times to visit. Visibility is generally 15m – 25m.
WHAT TO WEAR: Water temperature is generally 27- 30 degrees. Jan – Feb it can drop to 23-24 degrees. We recommend a 3mm wet suit though a 5mm semi-dry wetsuit might be the choice for those who feel the cold.
TYPE OF DIVING: Primarily reef diving with gentle to moderate current. Some sites (Puero Galera and Verde Island on day trips) have strong currents with fast drift dives.
DIVING LOGISTICS: Generally 4 scheduled boat dives each day (1 or 2 tank trips), day trips available, beach entry diving for House Reef, approx 50 dive sites in the area.
WHAT TO SEE: One of the best macro destinations in the Philippines and especially popular with photographers.
MARINE LIFE INCLUDES: Marine Life includes smaller species such as pygmy sea-horses, anthias, frogfish, leaf fish, rare shrimps and crabs species, 5 types of octopuses including blue ring, cuttlefish, sea horses, ghost pipefish, many nudibranch and mandarin fish.
General Asia Pacific life on the reefs and slopes include fusiliers, damsels, clown fishes, groupers, moray eels including blue ribbon eels, barracudas, idols, parrotfish, batfish, sea snakes, scorpionfish, stonefish, and lionfish.
There are turtles and schools of jacks seen on several dives and a significant range of hard and soft corals, gorgonian fans, crinoids are in the surrounding waters.Tags: Anilao Diving, Pacific Diving
